We have grown grown from a small listing site to the major hub for New York's classical music culture. We are a free and open resource that meets the needs of a diverse audience. An independent source of information and an advocate for the city's classical music scene at a time of transition for the industry.
Classical Domain has reached the point where we need to ask for support to continue. By supporting us you help thousands of New Yorkers, and those traveling to New York, who consult the site each week for our listings and concert articles. Our site allows hundreds of organizations, groups and individuals exposure and access to a huge potential audience. An audience looking for motivation to participate in New York's classical music world.
Every organization that tries to build an audience needs a platform. By supporting Classical Domain you are supporting greater visibility for all classical music organizations in the city. Classical Domain's on-line presence gives them exposure and access to a huge potential audience.
The success of the site encouraged us to incorporate as a non-profit organization. Now in our second year we are seeking for funding to establish a forward looking multifaceted website devoted to bringing new and exciting ideas to the public.
Our current viewership of 7000 visitors a month is just a start.
Classical Domain's mission is to provide the most complete coverage of classical music and opera performance in New York City.
We are committed to promoting all levels of musical activity, focusing on innovative programming and performers.
We are committed to generating new audiences for classical music.
We are committed to using the Internet to establish a bridge between the performers and the public.
We are pleased to announce that Classical Domain has been chosen to participate The New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) Emerging Organization Fiscal Sponsorship program. Fiscal sponsorship is a legal means whereby donors can make tax-deductible contributions to organizations that are tax exempt, but do not yet have a federal 501 (C)(3) number to accept donations. NYFA will receive grants on behalf of Classical Domain, and ensure the use of grant funds in accordance with any grant agreements, and will provide program or financial reports as required.
As a not-for-profit organization our mission is made possible through your
generous contributions. If you would like to make an online donation, you
may do so using NYFA's secure server: Donate on line
